This year's AMAZIGH COLLECTION features the beautiful works of Abu Eissa's workshop...

  • Artisans

We work with insidious communities all over Egypt by reviving their traditional handicrafts, and incorporating it into everyday-handcrafted footwear. Ababda women from Shalateen, South of the Red Sea, near Sudan boarder, specialize in 1000s years-old leather making techniques by using only natural materials from palm trees to tan sheep and goat hide from scratch transforming into hand-braided leather that we then use in various BULGA slippers & shoes designs.

Amazighi women from the Western Desert in Siwa Oasis, are known for their special embroidery on leather and fabric depicting symbols and icons from their heritage of Sub-Sahara Amazighi culture. We use their vibrant colors and techniques in embellishing our designs featured in our Ancient Egyptian collection.

  • Workshop

Everything we produce in BULGA is proudly produced in our very own workshop in Cairo, where we assemble all of our footwear, from making the pattern, mold, design, raw materials, and most importantly the craftsmanship, so that every BULGA is made under our eyes and supervision. This gives us an edge above mant other brands in the market because of our care for the After-Purchase Service, where you get a life-time maintaince to all your BULGA products.

  • Impact & Industry

We pride ourselves of being trailblazers in the shoes-making industry as BULGA is the first brand of its kind reviving the authentic Egyptian Bolgha into contemporary, casual, leather slipper that still holds the Egyptian heritage through the production process empowering local communities and effortless design that works for the everyday man and woman having part of Egypt in his/her every step. Through this work we served more than 5000 customers, 1000 artisans, and 40 vendors growing our company from 2 partners to a company of 20 people in 4 years.
